According to the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office, which made an announcement on Saturday, the Beijing authorities will assist eligible business travelers in their visa applications. This is done by providing a letter to the organizations that are inviting these travelers to the Chinese capital.

The office stated in a release that the visitors need to obtain an invitation letter from qualified Chinese enterprises that are registered in Beijing in order to apply for the visa.

The visa enables eligible foreigners who travel to Beijing frequently for trade and business activities to stay for 180 days per trip with a five – year multiple – entry business visa.

Spouses and children of these eligible foreigners may also stand to gain from this visa program.

For inquiries, please contact:
Beijing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office (tel: 010-55574107) about special visa facilitation;

Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection (tel: 18001220907) about fast-track customs clearance.
