On August 27th, the Qixing Branch of the Guilin Public Security Bureau in Guangxi issued a public notice regarding a police incident.

On August 26th, a video was posted online claiming that two foreigners had assaulted a Chinese person. After verification, it was confirmed that the video involved a case handled by the local police. The following are the details:

At around 7:00 AM on August 26th, near Huifeng Village on Liuhe Road in the Qixing District, a physical altercation occurred between one foreign national and two other foreign nationals following a verbal dispute. After investigating and gathering evidence, the police mediated the situation according to the relevant provisions of the “Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People’s Republic of China.” At around 10:00 PM the same day, the parties involved reached a mediation agreement and apologized to each other.

The police remind the public to approach such incidents objectively and rationally. They urge everyone not to spread or believe rumors and to contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly online environment.
