Hong Kong police have busted a triad-linked drug ring that allegedly employed foreign women in revealing attire to peddle narcotics across bars and nightlife hotspots. The Kowloon East Regional Anti-Triad Unit led the operation, targeting the financial infrastructure of the syndicate.
Officers raided a flat in Central, arresting a 34-year-old local man and two women (aged 41 and 42). Inside the unit—used as a stash house near entertainment districts—police seized approximately 7.2kg of cocaine, 500g of ketamine, and methamphetamine, with a street value topping HK$5.2 million (US$663,000). Investigators also recovered HK$1.1 million in cash and luxury items, including jewelry and watches, believed to be proceeds of crime.
Authorities stated the syndicate utilized foreign nationals to broaden its customer base within the nightlife scene. The suspects face charges of drug trafficking, which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a HK$5 million fine under Hong Kong’s Dangerous Drugs Ordinance.
