A netizen posted that a passenger accidentally opened the emergency door of an Air China flight at Quzhou Airport in Zhejiang, causing the slide to deploy. Consequently, the related flight was canceled.

On the morning of July 5, Mr. Cheng, a passenger on the flight, told reporters that he was seated at the front of the CA2754 flight from Quzhou to Chengdu. The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 8:45 PM, was delayed due to air traffic control. At around 9 PM, a passenger mistakenly opened the emergency door while looking for the restroom. After the incident, the passenger was told she would have to compensate, which scared her to tears.

Another passenger, Mr. Li, recalled that due to this passenger’s action of opening the emergency door, the flight was canceled. All passengers were then taken to a hotel to rest and were given a 400 yuan compensation.

On July 5, Quzhou Airport customer service confirmed that the flight to Chengdu was canceled on the night of the 4th due to the incident. Reports confirmed that the Quzhou Airport Public Security Bureau verified that a passenger, on her first flight, mistakenly opened the emergency door thinking it was the restroom door. The flight was subsequently canceled, and passengers were taken to a hotel to rest.
