To facilitate foreign travel to Macao, enhance international people-to-people exchanges, and elevate Macao as a premier platform for opening up and cultural exchange between China and the West, the Public Security Police Force (PSP) will implement new on-board immigration clearance measures for passenger vehicles with nine or fewer seats at the Macao Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, effective 9 June 2025.

Foreign nationals eligible for visa-free entry into Macao (with a valid passport, as per the list provided below) may complete immigration formalities on board via the arrival vehicle channels, while all foreign visitors with valid passports may complete departure procedures on board via the departure vehicle channels. Passengers who do not qualify for on-board clearance may still go through immigration services at the Clearance Hall for On-board Passengers, located near the vehicle channels, or the arrival/departure halls.

A complete list of countries whose nationals are eligible for visa-free entry into Macao can be found at this link: https://www.gov.mo/zh-hant/services/ps-1474/ps-1474b/.

Passengers requiring on-board clearance at the Clearance Hall for On-board Passengers should proceed to the hall via the sidewalk, then make their way to the on-board passenger pick-up area before boarding the vehicle. During peak hours, the PSP will set up dedicated vehicle channels for Macao residents to help manage traffic flow. Drivers and passengers are advised to follow on-site signs and instructions from staff.

For questions about the arrangements, the public may call the PSP service hotline at +853 2872 5488 or email [email protected].

The PSP is committed to supporting Macao’s development as a “One Centre, One Platform, One Base,” and will continue to review and improve clearance services to optimize the cross-border movement of people, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the high-quality development of Macao and other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

(Note: Please ensure your passport is valid when travelling. For the most up-to-date immigration requirements, please consult the official website or contact the PSP directly.)
