On October 23, the Urumqi Comprehensive Service Center for Foreign Nationals launched operations at Urumqi Tianshan International Airport. Designed to streamline international travelers’ experiences, the center provides five core services: payment, communication, transportation, culture/tourism, and investment/trade consultation.
Located at the international arrivals exit, the center adopts a “services upon landing” approach, addressing the full lifecycle needs of foreign nationals through five specialized counters.
- Payment: Supports WeChat Pay/Alipay, international credit card withdrawals, and a multilingual self-service ATM (VISA, UnionPay, MasterCard, Amex, JCB), with on-site staff guidance.
- Communication: Assists with SIM card registration, plan selection, and cross-border connectivity, offering tailored data/call packages based on stay duration.
- Transportation: Enables Urumqi PASS Card purchases/recharges and provides multilingual guides for local transit.
- Culture/Tourism: Combines an online multilingual hub (real-time attraction/event updates) with an offline desk (printed guides, maps, personalized itineraries).
- Investment/Trade: Integrates the “Nine Service Systems” of the China–Eurasia Promotion Center, linking aviation and trade to convert travelers into investors via government/legal/business/talent/cultural consulting.
This initiative enhances Urumqi’s global appeal and service efficiency.
