After China introduced a visa-free policy for South Korean travelers, a wave of South Korean tourists began visiting the country. Among them, one South Korean visitor traveled to Shanghai and, upon returning home, made a comment about not having seen any luxury cars in the city.

This remark did not sit well with Shanghai’s affluent residents. Determined not to let South Koreans leave with a sense of superiority, they quickly organized a collective response. Their mission was clear: ensure that South Korean tourists would see plenty of luxury cars during their visit to Shanghai.

To achieve this, they established schedules, driving their high-end vehicles along specific routes at set times to maximize visibility. Participation was closely monitored, with drivers required to check in and log their activities as if it were a formal job. Those who failed to contribute might even face accusations of lacking patriotism.

In fact, some wealthy individuals from other cities went so far as to drive their luxury cars to Shanghai specifically to join in the effort and ensure the South Koreans witnessed the city’s opulence.
