The tropical storm struck the coastal area near Rui’an late on Tuesday night, with the provincial meteorological observatory reporting wind speeds of up to 20 meters per second and a central pressure of at least 992 hectopascals at around 11:45 p.m.
This marks Danas’ third landfall after initially hitting Taiwan early Monday and subsequently making a second landfall in Dongtou District, Wenzhou (also in Zhejiang), at 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
