At the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services, the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Talent Work jointly unveiled the ”2025 Edition Directory of Internationally Recognized Professional Qualifications in Beijing.” The updated list now includes 163 qualifications (up from 149), with a focus on information technology, scientific and technological services, and finance—offering employers more targeted guidance in recruiting global talent.
Key benefits for foreign professionals holding recognized certifications:
- Eligible for multiple-entry visas or residence permits (up to 5 years); those meeting criteria may qualify for permanent residence facilitation and port visas at border checkpoints.
- No restrictions on academic degrees, work experience, or education when applying for work permits. The age limit is extended to 65 (70 for high-tech sectors). Top-tier foreign talent (Category A) may receive 5-year valid permits.
