A viral video of a two-year-old Chinese girl, filmed from a “mosquito’s-eye view” using a tiny camera on her hat, has amassed 360 million views and 41 million likes online. The footage, originally posted in April by her mother in Beijing, was later shared by Shenzhen-based camera brand Yingshi on Instagram, where it gained massive attention.
The unique perspective—showing the toddler’s oversized eyes dominating the frame—makes the clip stand out. In the video, the girl, nicknamed Mengmeng, plays in a park, snacks, and even sheds tears after a fall before being comforted by her parents.
Many viewers called it ”the cutest video ever,” with one saying it made them want to become a father. The mother, Ms. Li, expressed shock at the response, saying the video resonates because it captures ”genuine, charming childhood moments.” Though offered foreign TV appearances, she declined, stating, ”We just want her to eat and sleep well. Childhood passes quickly.” The video also earned 660,000 likes and 30,000 comments on a major Chinese short-video platform.
