Beijing, Nov 4 (Xinhua) –China will prolong its visa-free entry policy for France and other eligible countries through December 31, 2026, and will include Sweden from November 10, the Foreign Ministry said Monday.

Under the policy, travelers from qualified nations can visit China without a visa for short stays, promoting tourism, business, and cultural exchanges.

Initially launched in 2023 to revive post-pandemic international travel and bolster global ties, the initiative currently applies to countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Malaysia.

The expansion reflects China’s efforts to attract more foreign visitors and investors while enhancing diplomatic and economic cooperation. Further details on eligibility, stay duration, and entry rules will be announced soon.
