Feature updated: Delete all Wechat contacts who have deleted you

Currently, the WeChat contacts list enables you to delete “friends who have already deleted or blocked you” all at once.

It is reported that when the number of your WeChat contacts exceeds 10,000, a prompt will pop up, indicating that no more friends can be added. Subsequently, you will be redirected to a list of “contacts who have deleted you.” Previously, this feature only allowed users to delete up to five people at a time, after which you could return to the “Add Friend” state. The latest version of WeChat now enables users to delete “one – way deleted friends” in batches of five until the system prompts that all “one – way friends” have been removed.

WeChat’s “one – way friend deletion” feature was rolled out last year. In October of last year, WeChat started testing a new function: users were able to view the contacts/friends who had deleted them and selectively filter and delete them.

Based on several users who shared screenshots on various social networks, the new version of WeChat directly presents “recommended deletions.” This allows users to identify which friends have deleted them and delete them with just one click. The app gives brief reasons for the recommended deletions in gray text, including details such as “whether the other party has ceased using WeChat,” when and how they were added as friends, the last time you had contact with them, and whether there are any chat records on your current device.

Tencent customer service explained that since the users’ contacts list has reached its limit when adding friends, the system will display a part of the contacts to assist users in making a decision on whether to delete some contacts. After deleting some contacts, users can resume adding friends.
