Jakku Song, a man from China, has gained widespread attention for his unconventional approach to mastering the Japanese language: learning through adult videos. Instead of opting for traditional methods like classes or private tutors, Song immersed himself in more than 4,500 Japanese adult films, which he credits as the key to his impressive language skills.

Song’s unique journey was shared on his YouTube channel, where he explained how he taught himself Japanese. His unconventional learning method led him to pass the N2 level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), a qualification that grants access to Japanese universities and vocational programs.

What makes Song’s story extraordinary is that he achieved this without any formal language instruction. His deep interest in Japanese adult video culture motivated him to engage extensively with the content, picking up the language by listening, mimicking, and immersing himself in the material.

On his YouTube channel, Song covers a variety of humorous and provocative topics in Japanese, often incorporating his playful persona. On Instagram, he refers to himself with cheeky titles such as “Prince of Dirty Jokes” and “Asia’s Last Gentleman.” In one of his recent videos, he proudly displayed his N2 certificate while surrounded by a stack of “used” tissues, expressing his gratitude to prominent Japanese adult video actresses like Sola Aoi and Tsukasa Aoi for indirectly contributing to his education.

In a lighthearted moment, Song pretends to “collapse” from exhaustion, humorously acknowledging the demanding nature of his self-imposed study regimen. His story not only defies conventional language learning practices but also underscores the effectiveness of immersive exposure in acquiring new linguistic skills.
