According to a report released by the National Immigration Administration on November 17, officials in Guangzhou successfully intercepted five foreign nationals attempting to enter China using forged or altered travel documents.

The incident occurred on November 15 at the Baiyun Border Inspection Station, managed by the Guangzhou Border Inspection General Station. During routine inspections, immigration officers identified and detained the five individuals after they presented counterfeit or manipulated documents in an attempt to unlawfully enter the country. The nationalities of the suspects have not been disclosed. Following China’s Exit and Entry Administration Law, the individuals were denied entry.

This interception forms part of a wider initiative to combat the use of fraudulent travel documents and the growing prevalence of counterfeit credentials aimed at circumventing immigration controls. Authorities have reiterated the importance of complying with legal travel procedures, warning that serious consequences await anyone attempting to enter the country with falsified documents.
