An inspiring video capturing a Chinese woman’s bold stand against a disruptive foreign passenger on an international flight has gone viral, earning widespread acclaim from netizens.
As detailed by Jimu News, the event unfolded on December 15 during Air Canada flight AC62. Sun, the videographer, shared she was traveling from Harbin to Toronto, transiting through Seoul. While the plane was taxiing pre-takeoff, a foreign male passenger in the front section began repeatedly harassing two Chinese women seated adjacent to him—first talking loudly to himself in English, then escalating to constant disturbances.
Footage shows the man growing bolder when the women ignored him: he called them “idiots,” “mute,” and other offensive slurs. Sun, positioned behind them by the window, removed her headphones and addressed the man firmly in fluent English, insisting he respect others and halt the harassment.
Crew intervened, cautioning the man that the international flight was already on the runway. Yet he persisted, verbally attacking the attendants. The pilot then redirected the aircraft to the gate, and security escorted the man off. A concluding announcement in Chinese reassured passengers, “The disruptive individual has been removed; departure will proceed once his luggage is located.” Sun recalled the cabin breaking into cheers as he exited.
