Forecast: Severe Chill in Southern China
The NMC warns that a major cold wave will persist into Tuesday, particularly hammering areas south of the Huanghuai region—which spans parts of Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Shandong provinces. Most of these regions will endure a 6–10°C drop in average temperatures, with localized areas experiencing plunges as severe as 12–14°C.
Monday’s NMC update highlights that from 8 PM Monday to 8 AM Wednesday, northern and eastern Sichuan, Chongqing, and adjacent zones will face 6–8°C temperature declines due to a potent cold front.
