Over 40 pet dogs in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, are suspected to have died from poisoning, as reported by the Guangdong Pet Industry Association in a recent statement.
The association announced on Saturday that numerous cases of suspected poisonings have been reported across various districts of Guangzhou, with Baiyun, Haizhu, and Panyu districts being the most affected areas.
In response to these incidents, the association has activated its emergency response mechanism and initiated an investigation. Early findings suggest that the majority of these poisonings took place around November 8.
To address the situation, a special task force has been formed to work closely with the police in resolving the cases. The association has also called on the public to provide any relevant information or clues to the authorities or the association to assist with the investigation.
