On August 13th, the Panyu District Branch of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau released a report on a recent case:

Authorities received a report from the public concerning a woman who had made defamatory and insulting comments about Chinese national team athletes and coaches on social media platforms.

Following an investigation, it was discovered that since May 2024, a woman named Wang (38 years old, residing in Panyu District, Guangzhou) had repeatedly posted derogatory and defamatory remarks about Chinese national team athletes and coaches online, leading to significant negative social consequences.
